Position Overview:

As a System Engineer at Alpha Data you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems for our diverse range of clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver with a strong foundation in system architecture and a passion for staying abreast of emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Required: At least 2 years’ experience as a System Engineer or a similar role, with implementation and support of:
HPE Servers
HPE Synergy
HPE Blade System
HPE Storage Systems
SAN Switches
Tape Libraries
Preferred: Experience with knowledge of:
Dell Servers
IBM Servers
Storage Systems from different Vendors like EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage etc.
VMware vSphere
Microsoft Hyper-V
Backup Systems
Strong knowledge of system architecture, networking, and security principles.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred with HPE Certifications

Responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation:
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand system requirements and design innovative solutions.
Implement, configure, and optimize hardware and software components to meet project specifications.
Ensure seamless integration of systems with existing infrastructure.
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other hardware components.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal functionality.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with project managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices to safeguard systems and data.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Develop user manuals and training materials as needed.
