Senior Accountant Required in Dubai
Accounting Department:

· Handle the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
· Implement efficient accounting processes and procedures.
· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
· Reviewing and analysing contracts and other financial agreements.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
· Monitor and analyse accounts receivable aging reports.
· Implement strategies to improve collections and reduce bad debt.
· developing revenue recognition policies and procedures.
· Reconciling bank and company records.
· Identifying, properly depreciating, and maintaining fixed assets as well as accounting for a company's financial well-being.
· Handle the costs involving a company's inventory operations.
· Handle payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company's short-term debts.
· Monitor and analyse accounts payable aging reports.
· Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
· Work with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
· Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide insights to support decision-making.
· Foster teamwork, collaboration, and efficient workflows within the department and across the company.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
· Must communicate in Arabic and English proficiently.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Odoo or similar).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
· Strong understanding and ability to pull data from a variety of sources.
· Experience in tax compliance and tax regulations.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

· Travel to other markets may periodically be required.
· Assures that safety regulations are followed at all times.
· Follows policies and procedures including when performing daily tasks.

Expected Hours of Work:

Typical business hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday, availability for escalations may be needed outside of normal business hours.
