As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth by generating and qualifying new business opportunities that feed a healthy sales funnel. Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging prospective customers and uncovering engineering or research challenges
Use product and industry understanding to qualify prospects with precision, moving them to meaningful sales engagements that convert.
Engage with inbound web and marketing leads to quickly assess potential fit against ideal customer profiles.
Conduct outbound outreach using phone, email, and digital channels to uncover and nurture new business opportunities.
Manage a high volume of leads and maintain exceptional responsiveness to maximise qualified opportunities.
Track all interactions, customer data, and next steps accurately in the CRM to support sales continuity and forecasting.
Prioritise leads based on commercial potential and strategic fit to optimise sales efficiency.
Partner with field sales teams to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and alignment on follow-up strategy.
Contribute insights back into demand generation planning and lead scoring to improve conversion outcomes over time.
Participate in regular sales and marketing meetings to share best practices and refine qualification approaches.
Meet or exceed defined monthly KPIs and qualified opportunity quotas aligned with revenue goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales, business development, or related role
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionals across technical and commercial contexts
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, process-driven sales environment
Experience using CRM tools to track lead activity and pipeline progression
