Planning Engineer - Dubai

BHP LLC, a reputable engineering and project services firm headquartered in the UAE, is currently seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support the delivery of DM & ADM projects. This position demands a seasoned professional well-versed in scheduling, monitoring, and reporting across the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive baseline project schedules with narrative reports
• Create and manage detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Cost-load and resource-load schedules with manpower and equipment projections
• Track procurement timelines for both short and long lead items
• Generate and analyze project KPIs, progress, and financial reports
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress summaries and production cashflow forecasts
• Plan project manpower requirements and produce manpower/equipment histograms
• Conduct critical path method (CPM) scheduling and variance analysis
• Handle EOT (Extension of Time) claims and evaluate prolongation costs
• Maintain strong understanding of FIDIC guidelines and UAE-specific contracts
• Conduct thorough project risk assessments to anticipate and mitigate delays
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of experience specifically in planning roles for DM & ADM projects
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel; familiarity with Power BI is a plus
• Practical experience in aquascapes and landscape project planning is desirable
• In-depth knowledge of UAE regulations, processes, and official reporting formats
