This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in large-scale bakery production, a creative touch for recipe development, and strong leadership skills to guide the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily bakery production schedules.
• Lead and inspire the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Maintain high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation of baked products.
• Train, mentor, and provide ongoing support to kitchen staff.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and implement strategies to reduce food waste.
• Create, test, and refine recipes for breads, pastries, and cakes.
• Ensure full compliance with hygiene and food safety protocols, including HACCP standards.
• Oversee scaling of production to meet daily order requirements efficiently.
Requirements:
• At least 4 years of experience in a Sous Chef or senior bakery role.
• Proven expertise in high-volume bakery or manufacturing environments.
• Culinary Arts or Bakery & Pastry certification or degree.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety principles.
• Currently residing in Dubai with immediate availability to start.
