Day-to-day restaurant operations
Supervise day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar according to standards.
Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness.
Ensure efficiency of service.
Monitor dining room for seating availability.
To overlook the quality of service for the restaurant he/she is responsible for.
To liaise with the Kitchen department on daily operation and quality.
To handle all guest complaints, requests and enquiries on food, beverage, and service.
Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all areas within the assigned outlet.
Assist the Manager in daily briefings.
To assist to plan the outlet weekly roster and work schedules to ensure that outlets are adequately manned to handle the level of business.
Support the staff in service, if necessary.
To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and assisting to update guest history.
To monitor and update, if necessary, on the following: (Operations manual, opening and closing procedures, outlet policies and procedures, pricing structure, food, and beverage menu).
To attend weekly and monthly operations meeting.
To ensure and monitor all guests have been checked for satisfaction.
To establish and strictly adhere to the par stocks for all operating equipment and supplies, to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped.
To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and assisting to update guest history.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, including problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
Ability to work well in a team and motivate staff through positive attitude and leadership.
Good level of physical fitness.
Experience to lead and manage multi-cultural workforces.
Good proficiency in POS system and MS Office.
Reports work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager.
Follow outlet specific procedures for handling emergency situations.
Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties.
Actively listen to and consider the concerns of other employees, responding appropriately and effectively.
To strictly adhere to the established operating expenses and the costs are controlled.
Projected revenues and expenses in line with the annual business Plan.
To participate and assist in the formulation of the annual operating budget in determining outlet.
To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them.
Assist the outlet manager in planning of purchasing and pricing.
To ensure the vacation planner is adhered to and no overtime is accumulated for the associates.
Ensure correct handling of equipment to minimize breakages and losses.
To carry out monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.
Follow property control audit standards and ensure that the outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to.
To plan and implement an effective marketing and sales plan and promotional activities in the outlet.
Ensure proper grooming and training of the restaurant team.
To conduct associate’s performance appraisals as required.
Define training needs and propose training programs in co-relation with the outlet manager.
Continuously train subordinates to achieve highest level of professionalism.
