Specialist Cyber Security Required in Dubai

A leading Government entity in the UAE is currently hiring a Specialist – Cyber Security.

The purpose of the role is to develop, implement, communicate, monitor and maintain the cyber security program including but not limited to identifying critical systems and critical digital assets, addressing cyber security controls for each critical digital asset, and maintaining cyber security attack mitigation and incident response capability within the organization in accordance with Information Security Framework to support the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities:

Implement the strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program in accordance with the information security management framework.
Implement Security program comprising of internal and independent security risk assessment plans, compliance road map and different security projects and initiatives.
Coordinate with control owners and technology staff in understanding and responding to Information Security requirements in their area.
Research and assess new technology for cloud threat protection and recommend remedial actions.
Work with various stakeholders to identify information asset owners to classify data and systems as part of a data classification implementation.
Work directly with the business units and other internal departments to facilitate security risk analysis and risk management processes, identify acceptable levels of residual risk, and establish roles and responsibilities related to information classification and protection.
Follow up on deficiencies and gaps identified in reviews, self-assessments, automated assessments, and internal and external audits to ensure that appropriate remediation measures have been taken.
Conduct regular technology infrastructure and cloud computing security risk assessment in coordination with Technology department and partners.
Conduct necessary information security compliance control monitoring and testing activities to determine the effectiveness of the controls.
Prerequisites to the role:

To be considered for the role, you must meet the following criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Information Security or relevant)
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred certifications: CEH/ CCSP/CISSP/CSA or any relevant Information Security certifications
Proficiency in English & Arabic is mandatory
