Senior Internal Auditor Required in Dubai

Performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan. He/she will lead participate in audit engagement of varying sizes and complexity across EP and EPG. Including developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, preparing reports which is reflect the results of the work performed, coverage of functional operating units and focus on financial, IT and operational processes.

Policies & Procedures

Compliance with company’s policies and procedures and HR policies related to employees.
Perform audit procedures to verify the implementation and effectiveness of controls through testing and interacting with the relevant company’s staff.
Compliance with the laws and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of documents and information reviewed or tested during audit.

Execution of Audit Engagements

Execution of audit engagements and projects ensuring each engagement is conducted in an efficient and effective manner.
Obtain an understanding of business processes and leverage an understanding of risk and control concepts to develop risk assessments, audit programs and testing procedures that appropriately address identified risks and project objectives.
Review audit evidence and demonstrate the ability to draw appropriate conclusions regarding the state of the client’s control environment.
Identify and appropriately communicate audit issues to management, offering recommended solutions that address risks and are relevant to the business.
Prepare working papers that are accurate, complete and well documented ensuring adherence to applicable Department and professional standards at all times.
Perform reviews of working papers to ensure accuracy and completion and assist in clearing any review points provided by team leads and /or audit management.
Provide timely updates to team leads and / or audit management on engagement progress and audit issues ensuring all deadlines are consistently achieved.
Maintain an awareness of audit trends and “best practices”
Ensure timely and successful completion of audit assigned work, from start to finish.

Comply with professional standards

Working knowledge of internal audit professional standards with regarding to planning, testing, sampling documentation and reporting.

Report

Assist in the preparation of a concise and informative audit report to effectively communicate the findings and recommendations to the branch/department and senior management.

Maintain Safety

Follow the standards of safety and security in the EPG, branches, and subsidiaries and other locations in which he operates.

Other Tasks

Perform any other responsibilities relating to this job request or work task as allocated by the Line Manager or other Senior Auditor.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Recognized professional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing (CA, CIA or CPA) is preferred.

Experience:

5 years’ experience in internal audit with last two years as Senior Auditor in diversified industries, reputed companies, banks or large group, experience in courier, logistics is preferred. Experience at Big firms in internal audit services line will be considered as essential.

Job Specific Skills (Technical Competencies):

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, PowerPoint) and using Audit Software.
Ability to understand the organization’s strategic direction and how decisions impact the business.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of IT systems like Oracle or SAP would be an added advantage
Understanding and sensitivity to successfully work across cultures.
Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
Very good report writing skills in English
Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
Continuous professional and educational development.
