Senior Accountant Required in Dubai

We are looking for a detail oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our company as well as liaise with various third parties.

The role

To be successful in this role, you should have solid working experience in finance, have strong financial analytical skills and be able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure
Maintaining financial records, including for subsidiary companies
Preparing and monitoring budgets
Preparing financial analyses and reports
Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential
Managing intercompany transactions
Managing tax returns in multiple countries
Managing yearly audit preparations
Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Maintaining accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with financial legal requirements
Guiding and supporting team members as required or assigned

You are

A quality-oriented person with previous accounting experience who is passionate about numbers and with impeccable attention to detail. You have strong organisational and time management skills and work well under pressure and with important deadlines.

Minimum job qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
5+ years of accounting experience
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Working knowledge of finance regulations including VAT
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. xero)

Desired extras

Hands-on experience working with Salesforce
Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Arabic speaking
