The Restaurant Manager oversees and coordinates the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve strategic goals while ensuring customers and employees satisfaction and financial performance of the outlet.
Major Responsibilities:
Manages and oversees daily shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
Provides the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
Lead by example in all areas by becoming the expert in all aspects of the restaurant.
Assist in developing, planning, and executing restaurant promotional activities and events.
Maximize financial performance of the outlet by driving upselling and control of payroll and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions as well as inventory and cash control.
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the division to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
Ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience.
The ability to work closely with the Corporate Executive chef, Director of Food & Beverage, and Head Chef to design effective menu options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and takes action for corrections and improvements as needed.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Solicits employee feedback and reviews employee satisfaction to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.
Ensure to comply with the grooming standard.
Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the work place.
Conduct duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained

40% - To ensure all standards and procedures are consistently followed and excellent service is provided to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
30 % - Leading, coaching, motivating and training the employees
20% - Completing all strategic and administrative reports as required

Profile Required:
Education
College diploma/degree, preferably in hotel/restaurant management
Experience
Must have at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in the position of Assistant Manager or Manager in Food and Beverage.
Previous experience in managing restaurants or bars preferred.
Current or recent experience on lifestyle F&B venues ( preferably standalone).
Solid/strong enology knowledge.
Steakhouse background a plus but not a must.
