Purchasing Supervisor Required in Dubai

A Purchasing Supervisor will supervise the purchase of food ingredients and non-food materials required by the brand restaurants in adherence to policy and with cost reduction and profitability in mind.

Related areas: supply management, procurement, purchasing, and receiving.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the purchasing in-charge restaurant team members of all goods
Supervises the purchase of correct goods and materials at a competitive price and proper quantities/volumes
Regularly reports on goods purchased and inventory levels so to allow for more effective future purchasing
Reports all purchase savings to the dedicated departments
Works with the management to improve the purchasing process as a way to optimise organisational and time cost, reduce waste and improve profitability
Maintain good communication and working relationships with all company and restaurant departments
Coordinates the purchase book keeping with the accounting policies
Develops internal procedures for the efficient productivity
Communicates with the suppliers
Manages statement reconciliation
Coordinates the purchasing in UAE and Middle East countries (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan)

Skills

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow

Previous experience in a high volume accounts function
Computer literate, with good analytical skills
Good time management and organisational skills
Passion for providing an exceptional customer service experience
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience with the stock/inventory management system. iiko software experience is a nice asset.
Relevant degree, in Finance/Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
