We are urgently hiring a 'Purchasing Manager' for a Five Star Hotel in Dubai

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the hotel day to day purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with procurement strategy, policy, and process.
Administrating the online purchasing systems, responsible for all purchasing functions, quotations, quality, and availability of goods and services.
Successfully negotiating prices with suppliers, utilizing rebates, consolidation of goods, and volume discounts.
Finding Vendors of materials, equipment, or suppliers and conversing with them in order to determine the product availability and terms of transactions. Also, manage the bidding process.
Oversees and manages the procurement team in receiving all food products ensuring the quality and standards set by the Executive Chef are adhered to.
Assists Executive Chef in all aspects of purchasing (e.g., Food, Beverage, and Controllable) and orders all food and beverage based on business needs to ensure quality and profitability.
Maintains and ensures the Food Track system is utilized and streamlines all purchases. Records and submits food invoices to the accounting department and CFO as needed.
Ensures that all authorized or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
Coordinate with subordinates and other departments in developing procurement specifications, negotiate, and make budget-approved requisitions.
Prepare statistical and other reports in a comprehensive and accurate manner and contribute the ideas and solutions for continuous improvement in Supply-Chain & Logistics.

REQUIREMENT

Must have a degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management having a Minimum of 5 to 7 years of UAE experience in the 5-star hotel industry.
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Knowledge of food products from types, origins, quality, specs, and seasonality influences.
Must have high energy, be a proactive manager and thinker, with the ability to accomplish the tasks at hand.
Must have excellent time management skills, organize and prioritize work to meet the demands of the job, and the ability to ensure deliverables.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and members.
