Job Summary
We are urgently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to oversee procurement, supplier negotiations, and outbound logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, international shipping documentation, and cost optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities*
Procurement & Sourcing:
• Develop and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies.
• Identify and establish partnerships with profitable suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms.
• Approve purchase orders for goods and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
Logistics & Export Coordination:
• Prepare and manage export documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery advice, etc.).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders for outbound logistics.
• Manage shipment schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and Incoterms.
Cost & Risk Management:
• Track key performance metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Analyze data to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements & Skills
-Education Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
Experience:
• 5+ years in a logistics company.
• 5+ years in import/export operations.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in supplier management software.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation.
• Familiarity with Incoterms.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent negotiation and networking abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
• Must be currently residing in Dubai.
