IT Support Specialist Required in Dubai

Assisting IT Manager in the day-to-day I.T. operations. Assisting the IT manager in planning and implementing and follow-ups on projects.

Back up:

· Ensuring that effective and efficient backup procedures are followed.

· Maintaining a perpetual log for backups conducted.

Support:

· Maintaining a log of support requests received.

· Resolving issues reported.

General:

· Maintenance of communication network.

· Assisting the IT Manager in the management of all changes to live IT systems and applications and ensuring their continued availability and effectiveness.

· Assisting the IT manager in ensuring that the IT environment is secure from internal and external threats, with the use of Virus defence systems in place.

· Ensuring that the virus defence system is current and updates are deployed on all personal computers across the servers and the personal computers in operation.

· Assist in the maintenance of a smooth and efficient IT operation.

· Assist the system users in effectively using Office automation products.

Job specifications:

Diploma in Computer science/Electronics plus a Certificate from a known Institute in Computer-related discipline

At least 2-3 years of experience in a professional IT work environment :

· Proficient with Windows operating system

· General knowledge of troubleshooting Internet connectivity, phone systems, network systems, and other technological office equipment

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

· In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks

· Proficiency in IT helpdesk software

· Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support
