POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of a proactive HR business Support services including initiating & supporting best practice through HR governance, compliance, solutions, advising line managers on HR and the business on employee relations matters; Retail compensation & benefits. Moreover, taking a prime role in change management, and advising on HR team in providing proactive and day to day HR support for the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

HR Policy Governance:

Create and structure the HR policies to provide a framework for Sephora Middle East that is aligned with internal and external regulations, within which consistent decisions can be made and through which employees are treated in a fair and equitable manner. Educate leaders, senior executives and employees on HR Policies and procedures implementation.

Employee Relations & Disciplinary Framework:

Establish Sephora Middle East ER & Disciplinary framework including Whistle blowing alert system, grievance and disciplinary policies as well as due processes and during the investigation and disciplinary measures ensuring the protection of Sephora interest and employees alike in line with local laws and company Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Promote a good conduct culture, review, and manage the process ensuring appropriate register for audit and global compliance purposes.

Compensation & Benefits:

Assist the HRD in designing and overseeing the implementation of compensation and benefits programs. This includes devising and monitoring Retail salary structures and Individual Compensation Review, Review of benefits administration and processes (Consolidated Allowance, Commission, Leave, Housing Advance, Schooling, Salary Advance, etc.) balance staffing needs with cost controls, and help ensure that policies, procedures, and programs are in alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives and HR vision.
Track and maintain documents base for payroll and compensation and for accurate payroll and compensation calculations to ensure that employees receive timely & accurate payments in conjunctions with the service provider.
Foresee future variation in local market that may affect the employee Comp & Ben packages.
Review, negotiate and renew the Medical, Life and Workmen insurance and AXA Insurance of global mobility.
Review and validate the Retail commission and payment cycle.

HR Audit Review & Compliance:

Ensure HR adheres to legal standard and inhouse policies and compliance with laws and regulations. Moreover, what can be controlled and performed better through internal and external benchmarking. recommend controls and improvements to increase reliability and data integrity. Promote and enforce the culture of compliance within HR and across the business in all HR and personnel matters through educations and regular monitoring.
In collaboration with Internal Control and Legal and HR Management team close internal Control HR audit findings in line with group compliance and best practice.

Human Resources Systems & Projects:

Lead the implementation of new HR automation systems to ensure technology enable the business when seeking agile, fast-paced processes and appropriate record management.
Lead any assigned HR project to ensure prime business support.

HR Service Providers Management:

Ensure service level agreement between Sephora Middle East and service providers is set and regularly reviewed including all HR services standard the provider will furnish and compliance obligations will guarantee to protect Sephora employees and Sephora exclusive brands. This includes defining the severity level and circumstances under which a particular party is held accountable.
Onboarding and review of Manpower Providers, Search/Recruitment/Headhunting agencies agreement.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & PERSONALITY:

The successful candidate should have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with 5+ years’ experience working in medium to large sized organizations. It is essential that they have a passion for people, compliance, and endless evolution with the ability to think creatively and are self-motivated to work independently.
Excellent time management, organization, task prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, hands-on and solution oriented.

Most importantly, the candidate needs to live and breathe the Sephora Culture, DNA and Employee Value propositions (EVP). They need to have excellent authentic communication and influencing skills and be energized by working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
