Role Description

Head Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions and their accounting, preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing accounting team, and developing financial internal regulations, having solid knowledge of accounting, book keeping, reporting, paying close attention to detail and can ensure first-class book keeping and accounting across company entities.

This is a full-time on-site role in Dubai, UAE.

Duties & Responsibilities

Managing all aspects of the Group's accounting, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, tax, reporting and compliance, and financial reporting and analysis
Supervising the accounting team, organizing workflow and assigning the duties, controlling and optimising the priorities.
Developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with accounting principles, applicable regulations, and laws as well as best practice
Assisting in day-to-day accounting function, producing timely and accurate statements within the timeline required
Managing a month-end book closure, processing and posts journal entries for routine transactions and ensures accuracy of the General Ledger
Handling month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
Preparing VAT submission and return statement
Preparing of Consolidated financial statements (BS & P/L)
Coordinating internal and external audits to ensure efficient reviews of financial data and controls
Controlling daily sales, daily cash & bank, cashier discipline, petty cash procedures, reconciliation of various GL accounts, account accruals, bookkeeping and initial receipt/invoice inflow procedures
Managing fixed assets
In-depth analysis of period results to budget and/or forecast
Compiling customized data for analytical and management reporting purposes when needed
Cash flow analysis
Handling accounting issues and conduct special projects as assigned
Providing financial support for commercial managers and clearly communicate responses to requests
Identifying opportunity for process optimisation and automation
Adding value to the assigned tasks

Requirements & Qualifications

English speaking
Russian language is a nice asset
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting & finance
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
International industry software experience required
Proficiency in Excel
Previous GCC experience on related positions is a nice asset
Strong leadership, mentorship, time-management and organisational proficiency
Strong communication and analytical skills
