General Accountant Required in Dubai

Overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying different financial transactions including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities

§ Review daily sales report for sports distribution division and report to CFO.

§ Prepare supplier payments.

§ Execute monthly bank reconciliation and update cash position on a timely basis.

§ Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

§ Dealing with banks for letter of credit arrangements and shipment clearance.

§ Monitor inventory movements, aging, reconciliation, etc.

§ Prepare quotations / proposals on a timely manner and follow up with clients.

§ Accounts reconciliation and monthly/yearly accounts closing.

§ Prepare VAT return and reconcile with ledgers.

§ Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

§ Liaison with internal & external auditors and prepare audit schedules.

§ Close accounts on a monthly basis and prepare monthly report along with schedules.

§ Assist in budget preparation.

§ Any other duties that may be assigned by line manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Commerce /MBA / CPA
