General Accountant Required in Dubai

We are looking for a General Accountant with experience in Dubai. You will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of clients as well as business development.

Requirements

Must be a holder of a Bachelor degree
Minimum 2 years experience in the UAE
ACCA/CIMA/CA Part-Qualified
Fluent in English (written/spoken) and strong communication skills
Driving Licence

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the General Accountant will include, but not be limited to;

Preparation of the end to end Accounts
Reconciliation of the balance sheet including bank ensuring strong controls
Completion of VAT returns
Business development - will be required to bring clients into the business
Looking after a portfolio of client for Accounting and VAT reporting
Support Xero Implementation for clients getting set-up on Xero
Grow and Develop the implementation division of the business
Conduct relevant workshops/training throughout the year to keep business up to date on Xero
Maintain and upgrade professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools
Maintains controls over all supporting documents of payments.
Use initiative to find ways to improve operations and processes
Documentation of finance policies and procedures
Adhoc work as required
