ROLE: F&B SUPERVISOR
PURPOSE OF JOB
The ideal candidate has a passion for food and beverage, a genuine ability to connect with guests and staff alike, and brings the core value of 'TEAM' to the Mygolf Dubai Cafe. A natural leader, you are responsible for maintaining the highest levels of hospitality while leading service on the floor.
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will lead your team to create unforgettable Food & Beverage experiences for our guests. A Food and Beverage Supervisor will also be required to communicate and delegate tasks to the team to ensure departmental targets are achieved.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer-focused service delivery and effective staff supervision.
Assist F&B Head in running the Mygolf Dubai Cafe ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adherence to consistent standards, through proper planning and organization of F&B operation and administration.
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Create innovative programs and promotions that drive revenue through increased guest patronage.
Aid in all financial budgeting operations to maximize profitability.
Liaise with kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal.
Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
Comply with Mygolf cafe security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
To ensure that the par stocks for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and that the outlet is adequately equipped.
To assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
To assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
Check on guests’ satisfaction levels and properly handle feedback and follow-up.
Report any complaints, incidents or any other irregularities to Management.
Ensure that operating equipment is maintained and service and storage areas are kept safe and clean.
Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipments.
Monitor quality of food and beverage products in every order.
To ensure that guests receive the attention and service they require.
To motivate, coach and project a positive attitude at all times.
Able to account and handle cash effectively, efficiently, with integrity and follow established and proper Accounting procedures.
Always greets and welcomes guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
Always thanks and gives fond farewell to guests conveying anticipation for their next visit.
Ensures guests are served within specified time.
Has a good knowledge of menu and presentation standards.
Is able to answer any questions regarding menu and assist with menu selections.
Is able to anticipate any unexpected guest need and reacts promptly and tactfully.
Sets tables according to type of event and service standards.
Communicates with the kitchen regarding any menu questions, the length of wait and product availability.
Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Checks with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages.
Performs shift closing on the Point of sales terminal and tally cash and credit card settlements.
Ensures that the mygolf cafe is always kept clean and organized, at both the front as well as the back of house areas.
Ensures that mygolf café brand standards and SOP's are consistently implemented.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired.
Previous 3 - 5 years’ experience in managing high volume F&B operations at the highest quality or in a similar role, working in a 4* or 5* hotel or resort with restaurant & bar offerings and be ready for your next step.
A flair for creativity and entrepreneurship.
Flexibility in working hours and a willingness to cover shifts as needed.
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must along with a desire to begin to grow your leadership and take on responsibility around the day to day operation beyond working on the floor.
Handling guest complaints and ability to know when to escalate to line manager.
Able to work as part of a team & stand alone, while taking ownership of mygolf dubai café.
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to deal with diverse staff.
Should have pleasing personality.
Excellent guest service skill.
Good knowledge of golf industry & food service industry.
Preferred Chinese/Asian but other nationalities are also welcome.
