About The Job

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Finance function and regularly reporting to the CFO. The Financial Controller will play an integral role in shaping and ensuring the day-to-day running of the Finance function and will support the organisation through Series A and future fundraises.

The role is incredibly broad and is perfect for someone who wants to be involved in all aspects of Finance across the business, including Commercial Finance and Financial Control.

As our Financial Controller, you will have these main objectives:

Establish and direct the forecasting and budgeting process across the business (FP&A)
Support the CFO with mid-term financial planning and longer-term growth strategy, including building out the Finance function
Production of the monthly management accounts
Management of the monthly close process
Support the CFO with ad-hoc reporting and future fundraising rounds
Ensuring all reporting is compliant with statutory standards and financial regulations
Support the CFO with improving the financial model
Oversee bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and VAT Returns

You will be a good fit if you:

Are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years’ of post qualification experience in a fast growth start-up or scale-up (ideally in Payments)
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build/develop relationships both internally and externally
Are excited by Tech start-ups and have a passion for FinTech
Are an extremely smart, independent individual who loves working in a fast-paced environment
