A Brief Summary of This Position:
Responsible for supervising and monitoring all operational financial matters and general accounts of the organization in a shared service environment. Should ensure the successful implementation of administrative, accounting, treasury, and financial rules and regulations. He is responsible for researching, analyzing, and recommending improvements in internal controls and performance in operations and financial management. Also to have a smooth and timely audit, ensuring minimal management letter issues from the auditors.
Essential Functions:
· Develops and implements departmental financial policies, procedures, and performance standards related to primary assignments; coordinates with other departments to establish appropriate corresponding direct-level policies.
· Review audits reconcile and interpret monthly and annual financial reports; initiate appropriate journal entries; work with the finance department in setting up accounts to track operation and project finances.
· Responsible for the preparation of all necessary supporting documents for the preparation of income tax returns and any other taxes. Manage all tax-related consultancy and oversee all tax and customs duties issues.
· Support of value selling and contract development processes, implementing and maintaining pricing processes, review of profitability improvement actions, etc.
· Ensures controllership through appropriate metrics, consistency and accuracy of accounting processes across the operations, and safeguard of assets.
· Comparative pricing, capacity, freight, and Next Best Alternative analysis.
· Prepare opportunity analysis, data mining, and product profitability improvement plans.
· Produce monthly management reporting including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
· Capital Expenditure analysis and reporting
· Participate in the process and input of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
· Training, supervision, and development of junior staff.
· Works closely with the business unit to determine the risks and opportunities of the current financial climate and how best to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
· Be the primary liaison with external auditors and government agencies.
· Supervise the general accountants in the maintenance of the accounting system to ensure the long-term integrity of financial data and reports; ensure the overall financial system continues to meet the long-term needs of an organization, ensure compliance with, all board-approved financial and accounting policies.
Education level: MBA/Bachelors Degree Commerce preferred
Experience: 5 - 7 years experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.
Specific knowledge, skill, ability, and requirements: Solid financial and analytical skills and audit experience (Big4) is a must. Excellent analytical, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. Must have sound knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, WinWord, PowerPoint, etc. Experience in working in a multicultural environment is desired.
