Executive chefs work in kitchens in restaurants and hotels to oversee their daily operations. Their duties may include hiring, training and managing kitchen staff members

maintaining the quality of the food served, planning menus and drink pairings
making sure that all dishes are prepared correctly, promptly and freshly
coordinating tasks for other members of the team
reviewing and coordinating staffing
