Engineer - IT Servers Required in Dubai

Responsible for identifying, architecting, managing/supporting operations and documenting all hardware and software solutions related to Server and Storage systems for Precision.

Functional Responsibilities
Provide first – level assistance to system users to resolve their problems; maintain all the logs in a tracker and update it ensuring all logs are closed.
Design, improve, and deploy technical and server application solutions to meet business requirements that are cost effective and sustainable.
Carry out installation/configuration of Servers, as per the IT Polices/ Standards and provide guidance to the users on its features and usage in order to ensure its proper use and improvement in performance.
Provide input into annual budget planning for technology migrations and project cost estimation.
Carry out data backups and disaster recovery testing regularly, arrange data restore as and when necessary, check & update the anti-virus software regularly to avoid any intrusion of malignant nature into the system
Attend to all the support logs within the agreed SLA. Follow proper escalation process internally and where ever necessary coordinate with the vendor for immediate resolution
Ensure that IT assets related to datacenter, storage and servers are properly documented and accurate inventory maintained.
Keep track of system alerts and take necessary action to ensure uptime and security of server, storage and datacenter equipment.
Assist in the implementation of new servers and data centers and ensure completion with in the agreed timeline.
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the server/storage/network devices/client devices, etc.
Actively participate in significant outage incidents, ensuring that root-cause analysis is identified and knowledge gained is applied for process improvement.
Ensure compliance to existing Security Policies and take appropriate measures to ensure safety and protection of IT systems.
Remain current on emerging technologies via professional groups, trade magazines, internal and external training, independent research and study, and other avenues available.
To ensure that all processes, procedures and activities meet and match those as laid down under company ISO and management procedures.
Perform any other job/task assigned by the Infrastructure Manager to accomplish department objectives.
Requirements

Education/ Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or B.S.in a technical field or Diploma in IT.
CCNA certification or relevant information technology related certifications preferred.
Experience
At least 3-5 years’ previous experience managing/engineering a high-tech production Data Centre environment.
Multi cloud experience like AWS, Oracle/Azure etc.
Proficiency in managing Office 365 suite and Microsoft Teams
Experience in managing Virtualized environment (VM ware/Nutanix/ Hyper view)
Experience in backup policies and procedures and expertise in any backup tool & appliance (Symantec/Veeam/Exagrid)
Hands on experience in managing multi storage environments with SAN, NAS, Backup libraries etc.
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
Knowledge of web services engineering.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
Working knowledge with Firewalls, Core switches, access control etc.
