Job Purpose

Effectively manage collection operations to ensure portfolio loss rates, delinquency indicators and rates are achieved by the team as per assigned business targets. Align departmental goals and teams in line with the overall corporate strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

·Assist Head of Collections in formulating departmental and portfolio management strategies to support alignment with the corporate strategy
Manage and improve the value of Collections portfolio
Project delinquency and loss rates and other financial indicators on a monthly basis
Attend customer complaints and take proper actions to ensure improvement in the number of complaints and customer satisfaction
Review strategy on a periodic basis and ensure alignment with the corporate strategy
Track portfolio performance and provide feedback where required Identify problem accounts / early warning and implement remedial action
Coordinate with internal departments to address and resolve matters that impact Collections efficiency and productivity
Conduct capacity plans and ensure that adequate resources are in place to maximize efficiency
Monitor performance of the collection team against targets
Manage, motivate and train staff to ensure collections are optimized Identify area of weakness in the staff performance; provide training so as to increase staff productivity
Negotiate with customers for out of court settlement and offer solutions to meet their obligations to the company on cases wherein foreclosure initiated.
Prepare regular and comprehensive reporting/MIS reflecting delinquency status and team performance
Ensure expenses are reviewed and controlled to be in line with expected budgets·
Assist Head of Collections in formulating policies and procedure that govern the department overall framework and functioning
Ensure adherence to established procedures and policy at department / organizational level
Adhering to CB of UAE Notice regarding Consumer Protection Standards throughout the debt collection process.
Perform regular and ad hoc responsibilities assigned by Head of Collections.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience with 3 years in a similar role preferably mortgage industry
Proficiency in English and Arabic (preferred) language

Key Skills & Competencies

Use of MS Office Suite
Knowledge of CB of UAE Consumer Protection Standards
Knowledge of the FDCPA and professional codes of conduct.
