As the Chief Accountant at Luna PR, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in accounting and financial management.

Responsibilities include:

-Financial Management:

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure adequate liquidity to support the company's operations.
Review and approve financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
-Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes and reporting.
-Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning:

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and evaluate business plans, financial projections, and investment proposals.
-Team Leadership and Development:

Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development needs for the accounting team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
Proven experience (5-10 years) as a Chief Accountant, Controller, or similar role, preferably in a PR or marketing agency or related industry.
Must be familiar with UAE VAT taxation laws and practices
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for financial analysis and modeling.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
