Business Development Manager Required in Dubai

• To develop and maintain business relationships with customers and prospects to ensure retention of accounts but with a key focus on growing business to meet predefined targets

• To identify and maximize cross selling opportunities with customers, build a network. and ensure future sales opportunities and growth

• Work in close collaboration with Key internal GIG teams

• Lead the Large Corporate Direct Sales team

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the Direct Sales team who will manage the retention portfolio and sales support as well as focusing on new Business activity.

• Monitor the performance of an allocated portfolio segment. Analyze and communicate any abnormal trends with technical explanation and possible suggestions that would need to be conveyed to customers in collaboration with Account Management team

• Prepares and analyzes sales forecast & results reports and presentations to management

• Coordinate with clients with any queries arising from analyses reports.

• The role works under the guidance of the Head of Business Development and is accountable for achieving an annual sales target across a pre-defined range of products as defined by the requirements of the sales strategy.

• The role is expected to pursue sales opportunities that typically arise from direct clients, receiving sales enquiries and working with the Development Manager or Key Account Executives to respond to tender requests, converting tenders into sales of the company’s products to meet agreed annual sales targets.

• The job holder will work with the underwriting teams to ensure all enquiries are accompanied by a full and complete presentation of underwriting information, competitor’s rates/terms/conditions if available and any other commercial/political information for consideration of underwriters and/or reinsurers.

• The job holder is responsible for ensuring insurance premium is collected in line with the Company’s terms of business liaising with credit control to minimize outstanding debt.

• The job holder is responsible for ensuring effective management and organization of sales records and ensures effective analysis of such records to supplement the sales planning process.

• The job holder is responsible for performing any other related duties as required to support the activities and overall strategic directions in order to ensure the profitability of the company.

2. Analytical and presentation making skills

3.Skilled in Microsoft Office

4. Persuasive and tenacious with an eye for detail

5. Demonstrable New Business achievement in current/recent roles
