Role Overview:
We are looking for a precise and reliable Billing Clerk to join our finance team in Los Angeles. In this role you will manage invoicing and customer billing activities, maintain accurate account records, and support the accounting group to ensure timely processing of payments and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate accurate customer invoices and ensure timely distribution.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate / resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers to provide billing details and address inquiries professionally.
• Maintain and update customer billing records and documentation.
• Prepare and assist with financial reports related to billing activity.
• Work with the accounting team to ensure payments are processed correctly and on schedule.
• Support collections efforts by following up on overdue balances and initiating escalation when needed.
• Stay informed about billing best practices and regulatory requirements affecting invoicing processes.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or degree in accounting/finance is preferred.
• Proven experience in a billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office (Excel in particular).
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of billing procedures and relevant regulations.
• Team-oriented attitude and a dependable work ethic.
