Accountant Required in Dubai

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately record, classify, and process daily financial transactions in compliance with internal controls, organizational policies, and applicable accounting standards.
Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely submission and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling data, tracking expenditures, and providing variance analysis using Excel-based tools.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and follow-ups to ensure timely collections and disbursements.
Perform regular bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and petty cash reviews to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
Assist in payroll processing, ensuring proper documentation, calculations, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate closely with procurement, administration, and other departments to validate expenses, ensure budget alignment, and maintain compliance with approval workflows.
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
4–8 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), financial modeling, and data analysis.
Practical experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and reconciliation processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a high level of integrity.
Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA (completed or in progress) are considered a strong advantage.
