Mahyk Group is looking for a skilled Accountant with solid hands-on experience in a manufacturing or factory setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling month-end routines, inventory costing and supporting financial controls for production operations. This role requires accuracy, strong accounting fundamentals, and experience with the specific accounting requirements of a manufacturing business.
Key Requirements:
• Qualifications: Partly qualified ACCA/CA/CMA or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience: At least 3+ years working in accounting roles within a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong command of journal entries, month-end close processes, and preparation of financial statements (P&L and balance sheet).
• Knowledge: Understanding of inventory costing, fixed assets accounting and expense control in a production environment.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain general ledger: prepare accurate journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support timely monthly closings.
• Financial reporting: prepare and analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other management reports.
• Inventory & assets: monitor inventory valuation, control stock costing procedures, and manage fixed asset records.
• Budgeting & analysis: assist with budgeting, forecasting and provide financial analysis to support operational decisions.
• Compliance & audits: ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies; assist internal and external auditors as required.
• Controls & process improvement: identify opportunities to tighten controls and improve accounting processes within the manufacturing cycle.
