Virtual Financial Aid Officer - Dubai

Fame is a long-established partner to post-secondary institutions, delivering student information systems and financial-aid tools that simplify operations and ensure regulatory compliance. Fame operates within Aquila and Constellation Software, combining startup energy with the stability of a proven parent company. We’re building a virtual financial-aid team to support schools that don’t have on-site financial aid offices.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Aid Officer Team Lead, the Virtual Financial Aid Officer provides remote financial-aid support to multiple institutions. You will guide students and families through aid processes, verify eligibility for federal student aid, complete required checks and reporting, and serve as a reliable point of contact for schools. This is a remote-first role (work from anywhere in the U.S.) with hours that align to the Eastern Time Zone.
How You Will Make An Impact
• Service delivery & communication: Provide timely, clear support to schools, students, and families via email, phone, and virtual meetings; deliver financial counselling and explain aid offers and estimates.
• Regulatory compliance & eligibility: Determine eligibility in line with federal/state rules, manage documentation and verification, process ISIR corrections, perform C-Code reviews, and apply professional judgment where appropriate.
• Aid processing & disbursement: Prepare, certify, and monitor awards and disbursements; perform calculations and document results; ensure required communications (Exit Counseling, NSLDS reporting) are completed accurately and on time.
• Collaboration & continuous improvement: Participate in team meetings, share best practices, assist policy and process development, and help refine Fame’s proprietary tools and workflows.
What You’ll Bring (Requirements & Skills)
• Direct experience in financial aid administration (packaging, certifying, disbursing, verification).
• Proficiency with financial aid systems and comfort using studentaid.gov, NSLDS, and COD.
• Strong administrative, analytical, and organizational skills; able to manage competing priorities in a remote setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and empathetically.
• High attention to detail, accuracy in calculations and record-keeping, and the ability to exercise sound judgment on sensitive matters.
• Familiarity with Fame applications (Freedom, Freedom FinAid, Advantage, Advantage FinAid) is a plus but not mandatory.
