Job Description: Accountant

Location: Dubai

Our Client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the F&B industry, along with a strong background in handling receivables and payables. Proficiency in ZOHO Accounting Software is required.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other financial compliance requirements.
Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash transactions.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Liaise with external auditors and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient financial procedures.
Keep up-to-date with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the F&B industry.
Strong knowledge of receivables and payables management.
Proficiency in ZOHO Accounting Software or similar accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is a plus.
Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
