Urgent Accountant Required in Dubai

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing strategic financial guidance to the business. You will be working closely with the Finance Manager and other stakeholders to maintain and improve the company's financial performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and standards as well as IFRS.
Prepare and analyze financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Review and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to management for cost savings and revenue opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Prepare and file tax returns.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
Supervise the audit procedures and deal with internal/external audits and processes.
Manage the Procure to Pay function and inventory reconciliation process.
Assist the department manager in various internal reporting requirements.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

5-7 years of Experience in a similar role, preferably in Fashion Retail
Strong Analytical and data management skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff at different levels
Effective reporting Skills
Sound knowledge of IFRS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Masters / CA / ACCA is a plus
