Tax Accountant Required in Dubai

Bestfolio Consulting is looking to appoint Tax Accountant and Tax Consultant in their Dubai office. The ideal person should be qualified in accounting/finance and must have knowledge of UAE taxes and accounting. (Candidates must be based in the UAE in order to apply for this job)

Key job responsibilities

Comply and manage the VAT reporting requirements under the UAE and KSA VAT Law,
Responsible for the preparation of multiple tax returns (withholding tax, VAT, corporate income) across different geographies (UAE, KSA, and Qatar).
Advise clients on VAT matters, review VAT procedures and business processes in line with the VAT Law to ensure VAT compliance.
Ensure correct and timely filing of VAT returns.
Independently manage all day-to-day VAT queries raised by clients.
Manage tax audits and clarification requests from Tax authorities, ensure timely payment of tax liabilities and follow up for tax refunds.
Manage the review of positions on tax accounts and ensure correct representation of tax balances on general ledger.
Keeps track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple locations.
Work with tax technology and IT teams to identify automated solutions to the compliance process and support implementation.
Follow up with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategies.
Review financial data for proper application of indirect tax laws and transfer pricing.

Accounting Requirements

Perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Intercompany daily accounting (full cycle), reporting, analysis, reconciliation, maintaining vendor and customer files, resolving issues and discrepancies, responding to queries, and processing adjustments and journal entries.
Prepares statement of accounts for payable accounts, reconciles and analyzes them on a monthly basis.
Ensure smooth and efficient running of the accounting functions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent.
2 - 5 years work experience in Tax and Accounting.
Solid understanding of MS Office word, excel and Oracle.
Bilingual speaker (Arabic is preferable).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
UAE experience is a plus.
