Senior Database Developer - Dubai

We're Hiring: Senior Database Developer (MS SQL)
Location: Ras al Khor, Dubai
Experience: 8–10 years
Are you a SQL expert who enjoys building high-performance databases while ensuring top-notch reliability, scalability, and security?
We’re looking for a Database Developer who can own our MS SQL environment end-to-end. In this dual-role, you'll be both a hands-on SQL programmer and a database administrator — powering the data layer behind our products.
What You’ll Do
SQL Development:
• Develop efficient and optimized T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, triggers
• Build scalable queries for analytics, reporting & transactional systems
• Design robust data models and architecture in collaboration with product & engineering
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold SQL best practices
Database Administration:
• Monitor and manage MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) databases
• Optimize performance through indexing, tuning, and query optimization
• Manage security, access controls, and compliance protocols
• Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability (AlwaysOn, log shipping)
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or scripting tools
• Troubleshoot deadlocks, slow queries, and system bottlenecks
What We’re Looking For
• 8–10 years of experience in Database Development + DBA roles
• Strong command of T-SQL, SQL Server tools (SSMS, Profiler, Execution Plans)
• Experience in database normalization, modeling, and transaction management
• Exposure to CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps for database code
• Bonus: AWS RDS, Azure SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis), SSIS, Power BI, Docker/K8s
• Microsoft Certifications? That’s a big plus.
