Senior Accountant Required in Dubai
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic real estate brokerage. The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax filing, and maintain full compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and AML regulations. This role demands expert-level QuickBooks skills, deep understanding of real estate transactions, and the ability to manage multiple accounts, systems, and procedures independently.
Key Responsibilities
Handle full-cycle bookkeeping and daily accounting entries across multiple accounts
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and client accounts; perform monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) monthly and quarterly
Prepare and file VAT returns via the FTA portal, including input/output VAT reconciliation; plan ahead for VAT and corporate tax deadlines
Ensure AML compliance in line with UAE real estate regulations, with proper documentation
Account for commissions on sales, leasing, and referral deals; manage commission disbursals
Run the monthly salary cycle in alignment with WPS, maintain payroll records and leave accruals
Track cheques, post-dated payments, and receivables from tenants and buyers
Monitor project-based revenues and cost allocations; coordinate unit handovers, payment plans, and developer settlements with operations
Liaise with external auditors and maintain audit-ready documentation
Ensure accurate client billing and timely collections; assist in budgeting and cash flow forecasting
Operate established systems and procedures: closing schedules, reporting cadence, and coordination with CRM/admin to align accounting records with transactions
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of real estate accounting experience in Dubai
Expert in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop); advanced Excel and Google Sheets
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax filing, FTA portal, and AML requirements
Familiar with RERA forms, commission disbursals, and brokerage accounting cycles
Experienced in generating financial reports and MIS for leadership
Able to manage multiple entities, transactions, deadlines, and confidential data independently
Smart, presentable, highly organized, and proactive in communication
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA a plus)
