Senior Accountant Required in Dubai

Leading Landscaping Construction, Facility Maintenance Service Provider in Dubai seeks Senior Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing.

The Role:

- Financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management to create budgets, targets and track key performance indicators across 4 Business Units (Construction, Facility Maintenance, Dealership and Trading)

- Prepares monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports, forecasts and develops strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.

- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other consolidated reports.

- Review construction budgets, investigates variances, approves expenses, and ensures that construction billings are issued to clients and payments collected.

- Running monthly accounting meetings with the construction/project management team to review upcoming projections/billings

- Creating and submitting reports and tax returns related to the construction project

- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related major is required (CPA Preferred)

- Meets deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

- Excels at multi-tasking, organization, and time management.

- Excellent communication skills towards effective & efficient collaboration

- Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels.

- Proficiency in electronic accounting systems, such as Netsuite, Xero, Quickbooks, MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP.

- Advanced proficiency in managing account reconciliations, general ledgers, and journal entries

- Knows and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- Understands financial reporting and has strong analytical skills.
