School Nurse Required in Dubai

The School nurse supports student success by providing basic health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. The school nurse addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students, while also promoting a healthy school environment. They play a key role in health education, disease prevention, and safeguarding, ensuring that students are fit to learn and thrive. In addition, the school nurse serves as a vital link between the school, families, and the wider healthcare community, advocating for the wellbeing of every child.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and implement first aid measures for students and staff as required.
Administer daily medications and nursing procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Plan and provide vaccinations for students in line with schedules.
Initiate and manage emergency procedures for students and staff when necessary.
Take responsibility for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of student care.
Deliver evidence-based care in adherence to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines.
Implement and record screening programmes, informing parents when further evaluation is required.
Manage student referrals and ensure parents are kept updated with all relevant health information.
Contribute to health education initiatives for students and parents.
Develop and implement “Kid’s Club” activities to promote wellbeing.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and the local community.

Requirements:

UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Has worked in a similar setting for at least 2 years.
Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
