Resource Manager - Remote - Dubai
Optiv is seeking a Resource Manager to join our Resource Management Office (RMO) team. This is a fully remote position within the continental U.S. Resource Managers play a critical role in supporting Optiv’s professional services organization by planning and allocating staffing resources to ensure high-quality cybersecurity services and solutions. This position requires collaboration, strategic thinking, and a focus on enhancing employee experiences while meeting project and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and allocate services professionals, including multi-domain and multi-vendor resourcing.
• Collaborate with RMO, PMO, Practice Domains, Delivery teams, and Operations teams.
• Understand resource management best practices, project requirements, employee skillsets, and cost/profit considerations.
• Identify staffing needs, coordinate placement of in-house professionals and third-party contractors across security services.
• Support development and management of the Resource Management capability.
• Facilitate fulfillment of staffing requests and prioritize resource assignments with leadership.
• Maximize utilization and increase visibility of available resources.
• Assess skills and certifications against project pipeline, business needs, and market trends.
• Maintain resource and project data to support decision-making.
• Ensure timely staffing of FTE and third-party resources with Acquisition, Delivery Practices, and vendors.
• Solicit vendor performance feedback and advise Practice Leaders on assignments.
• Review schedules proactively for accuracy and completeness; address gaps in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage resource bookings including future bookings, holidays, and pipeline allocations.
• Ensure billable work is distributed evenly across resources.
• Identify training and development opportunities aligned with skill gaps and project needs.
• Facilitate technical screenings with practice teams, clients, and candidates.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiate rates, and confirm resource availability.
• Support SOW development and escalate potential staffing conflicts or high-risk situations.
• Conduct Resource Staffing & Interlock meetings, prepare materials, and capture follow-ups.
Requirements / Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Resource Management Certification preferred.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for meetings, career fairs, or recruiting events.
• Experience in professional services organizations, recruiting, and vendor/staffing management.
• Knowledge of human resources laws, regulations, or similar experience.
• Experience tracking candidates in electronic applicant tracking systems.
• Mentoring, coaching, and team leadership experience.
