Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse is a highly skilled healthcare professional dedicated to providing specialized, life-saving care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. Working in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment, PICU nurses monitor complex conditions, operate advanced life-support equipment, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols
Continuously monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition, promptly identifying and responding to changes
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support interventions, including ventilation and cardiac monitoring
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Operate and manage specialized medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitoring systems
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress
Support and educate patients’ families, providing clear communication and emotional reassurance during critical situations
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant regulatory body (e.g., DOH/DHA/MOH)
Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting
