Purchasing Data Administrator - Dubai

WE ARE HIRING
Carnival Cruise Line is seeking a Purchasing Data Administrator to ensure timely processing of purchase orders through a semi-automated ordering system, supporting vessel operations efficiently. This role requires interaction with ship officers, vendors, and multiple departments, while maintaining integrity of the automated purchasing system and proactively identifying system improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Issue and revise purchase orders from the automated system, communicating significant discrepancies to supervisors or directors.
• Follow up and expedite orders to ensure supplies reach their final destinations on time.
• Support shipboard teams in order submission processes.
• Manage vendor communications via cloud-based or EDI tools, including updates on ordering and delivery processes.
• Lead system UAT projects related to Finance, Operations, and Purchasing.
• Continuously research current system capabilities and anticipate future needs.
• Ensure smooth operation and integrity of the purchase workflow.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree or higher education (major not specified).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel (including V-Lookups), PowerPoint, and Oracle Financials.
• Previous experience in Purchasing department preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Anticipate problems proactively and provide suggestions for prevention.
• Maintain accountability for purchase workflow operations.
• Support and safeguard the automated purchasing system consistently.
Physical Demands: Ability to remain seated at a desk/computer for extended periods.
Travel: Minimal or none required; may occasionally visit Miami headquarters for collaboration.
Work Conditions: Primarily climate-controlled office environment with minimal safety risks.
Remote Work: This role allows full-time work from home and may source candidates from remote hubs in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. Candidates outside these hubs must be located in FL, GA, TX, or NC.
