Psychiatrist, Adult Services – Abu Dhabi

MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading provider of mental health and wellbeing services to source a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Services to join their growing team in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team taking the lead in transforming mental health in the UAE as an outpatient based mental health service.

This is an internationally diverse team of professionals with the aim of delivering high quality assessments, treatment, advice, training and consultation across the range of mental health problems. You will be working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues, other professionals, families and patients. The service aims to provide a supportive environment using evidence-based approaches and will offer training and development to professionals.

You will take a clinical leadership role within the team and manage cases with a range of complexity. You will be responsible for the assessment of new referrals, delivering therapy or referring to psychology colleagues for CBT or other interventions, or co-working with psychologists and continuing to follow up patients for medication reviews. You will formulate care plans and treatment plans; provide guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness; and liaise with other services and disciplines.

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience in a related field and hold a Master’s or Doctorate level qualification in the field of Psychiatry. You will be qualified from the UK, will hold an HCPC license and will be DHA / HAAD licensable. It will also be beneficial in you have Arabic language skills.
