Being a key part of IT Support Team, the Network & Desktop Support Engineer’s responsibility is to provide IT support to all employees, managing, monitoring, and maintaining wired/wireless network devices, firewalls and desktops/laptops based on the ENTERTAINER’s best practice guideline.
The Network & Desktop Support Engineer will be…
Overseeing and supporting employees in fixing laptop, mobile and IT equipment issues efficiently and effectively
Providing hardware and software support for all desktop and laptop users
Trouble-shooting and solving problems related to hardware, software, and network issues
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, smartphone, tablet devices, printers and scanners.
Performing hardware & software installations, upgrades, support, and resolving issues relating to laptops, mobiles, printers, scanners, phones, VoIP, internet, Intranet, LAN, and WAN
Performing installation of anti-virus solutions, firewall, configuring and maintaining operating systems, software applications
Monitoring and resolving IT support tickets efficiently
Providing support to disaster recovery solutions
Ensuring office efficiency is maintained by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, layouts and office systems
Setting up accounts for new users
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary in accordance with company standards and project/operational requirements
Performing performance reporting to support capacity planning
Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Maintaining systems’ inventory and asset configuration documentation
Troubleshooting complex issues in network systems to identify root cause and debug malfunctions in network communications.
Providing support for Windows, Linux and Mac Operating Systems
Implementing preventive measures to enhance network consistency, measurability, availability and security.
Security Assessment for all software deployments.
Managing and maintaining Office365, Windows Active Directory
Implementing data and network security through firewalls, UTM, IPS/IDS, ACS and VPN technologies.
Maintaining the company’s IT security and confidentiality of IT data
Experience required
Minimum of 4-5 years experience in IT Support
Bachelor's/Master’s degree preferably in IT, Technology/Engineering, business administration, Computer Science or equivalent
Excellent Communication skills
Commercial Awareness and negotiation skills
Strong Problem Solving and Decision Making skills
Hands on experience with MAC, Windows server 2016 and Windows 7/8/10, Office 365
Experience in remote and face-to-face technical support, includes troubleshooting methods and Install routine maintenance of hardware and software
Strong Knowledge of Windows, Mac OS and Cloud Security
Strong Project Management skills
Ability to think strategically in planning and anticipating changing business priorities
