About the job:
The Lead Business Analyst possesses strong planning, communication, and presentation skills; the capability to listen and influence and be proficient in project quality management. The role demands to lead a business analysis practice within the organization to consistently improve best practices and innovate within the business analysis profession.
The Lead Business Analyst’s role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Analysts are required to analyze, transform, and ultimately resolve business problems with the help of technology.
The Lead Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with executive stakeholders to determine the contribution that business and IT improvements can make to achieving business objectives, defining strategies, agreeing, and prioritizing business requirements, conducting feasibility studies, producing both organizational-level and detailed business models, and overseeing the definition and implementation of holistic solutions.
As a leader, you will take responsibility for the business analysis service provider for an organization or business unit. You’ll determine the value proposition for the business analysis function. You’ll define the roles and responsibilities for the business analysis staff, at all levels and grades.
As a Lead BA, you will advise and influence executive management throughout the business change lifecycle, ensuring that change initiatives are aligned with the strategy and enterprise architecture.
Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide system programmers.
Responsible for translation of the detailed business requirements into Functional Specs.
Ensure project documents are complete, updated, and available.
Translating user requirements into highly specified workflows, diagrams, and use cases.
Providing user manual, written documentation, and training of the new system.
Providing regular and accurate status updates and insights.
Liaising with Business SMEs, Project Managers, QA, Dev, and other stakeholders.
Manage and mentor a team of business analysts.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer science or relevant field
Proven experience in Unified Modelling Language (UML); software requirement specification (SRS), Business Requirement documents (BRD); Functional Specification Document (FSD)
Business Analysis Professional Certification is a plus
Excellent documentation skills
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems
