Position Title: Lab Assistant / Applicator (Decorative Water Base Paint)
Department: Technical / R&D / Application Support
Are you someone who enjoys hands-on lab work and on-site application? Shaji Paints is looking for a dynamic individual who can contribute to both laboratory support and field application of our innovative decorative water-based paints. This hybrid role involves a combination of R&D, quality testing, product demonstrations, and customer site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory & R&D Support
• Prepare test panels for customer approval, mock-ups, and product trials
• Conduct quality control tests on both raw materials and finished goods
• Keep detailed lab records and inventory, and ensure equipment is properly calibrated
• Assist in research trials and sample development activities
️ Product Application & Demonstration
• Apply various coatings and construction chemicals on panels and at job sites
• Conduct live demonstrations at client locations for contractors, applicators, and consultants
• Deliver training sessions to customers and applicators on proper product usage
️ Project & Site Involvement
• Visit construction sites for product demos or to troubleshoot application issues
• Ensure correct application procedures are followed by clients on-site
Qualifications & Skills:
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory
• 3–4 years of experience in laboratory, application, or demo-related roles
• Solid knowledge of paint types, finishes, and application techniques
• Experience with quality testing methods and handling various coating products
• Familiarity with competitor offerings and trends
• Ability to handle physical demands of site visits and field work
• Strong verbal communication for product demos and client training
Other Requirements:
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical demos or urgent site trials
• Comfortable working outdoors and in warm site conditions
