JOB SUMMARY

The Junior Graphic Designer should be a fresh, creative thinker with an ability to support the Marketing Team while lending new thinking. A hybrid designer that feels comfortable creating for any medium and can set-up artwork for print or digital specs, having good attention to detail while being structured in delivering design work with a particular interest in design work across a range of flat creative work for different assets and packaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Resize advertorials for publications.
Constantly looking for wider ideas and inspiration to feed into work.
Mock-up product or promotional images for print and web distribution.
Contribute ideas at brainstorming meetings.
Prepare packaging designs based on supplier keylines and technical restrictions.
Demonstrate confidence and clarity, always planning ahead about what needs to be done.
Design for vehicle branding (company vans and trucks).
Maintain an awareness of new ideas and award-winning work across the industry.
Be consistent in following tasks up with the line manager.
Prepare artworks for foodservice, corporate and retail marketing collateral.
Supporting the team to ensure deadlines are met.
Pro-active management of design workload.
Actively request for additional work when not busy.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Strong knowledge and skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Possesses a creative flair.
Strong visual sense and a good attention to detail.
Ability to work with both PC and Mac design machines.
Confidence in presenting and explaining ideas to internal clients.
Ability to grasp business needs and consider practical solutions.
Good teamworking skills.
Ability to balance work on several projects at a time.
An awareness of the competitive business environment.
Having a matter-of-fact approach when ideas or designs are rejected.

Qualification

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

Experience

1-2 years of experience as a Junior Graphic Designer / Graphic Design Intern.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Flexible, adaptable with internal clients, colleagues and organization needs.
Able to multi-task several projects/programs at the same time.
Detailed, organized, and resourceful, reliable, and trustworthy.
Pro-active self-starter who is excited by the prospect of assisting to create a global brand.
