About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant/Cashier to join our team. This role will primarily involve handling accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for cashier duties, including processing transactions, handling cash, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the general ledger.
Prepare bank deposits and reconcile cash collections.
Handle cashier duties, including processing transactions, managing cash, and providing exceptional customer service.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare financial reports
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant accounting standards.
Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Able to speak fluently in Bengali or Malayali
2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in cashier or retail roles is a plus.
