We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Accountant to join our Finance team here in Dubai. The position requires a highly organised, detail-oriented, and ambitious individual to partner with business leaders and support with financial accounting, accounts payable management and month end close procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable: Including maintaining records, processing payments and implementing controls
Responsible for OPEX Accounting & Adjustments: Posting and processing journal entries on a weekly basis to ensure all business transactions are recorded as well as maintaining accruals and prepayment trackers
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations: Including Bank Recs, Petty Cash & Fixed Asset Register
Supporting global subsidiary accounting teams with bookkeeping and VAT filings
Supporting wider team with month end reporting, VAT filing, audits and year end reporting
Ad-hoc project support for Management

Skills & Qualifications

Degree in Business, Account & Finance or similar is preferred
1+ year experience in a similar role
Accounting knowledge
Knowledge of IFRS standards
Excel proficiency – Pivot tables, charts, crunching large amounts of data using formulas and other basic excel functionalities
Experience in using accounting software is preferred (Sage 200 & Oracle Netsuite)
Reporting and analytical skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to work with large amounts of data
