Hiring for the role of Junior Accountant with our client in Hospitality

Job title: Junior Finance Officer

Salary: AED 3000 + Food, Accommodation and Transport provided by client

Job location: Abu Dhabi

Job responsibilities:

Reconcile outlet cash collections with the outlet system report and update the figures in daily sales workbook.
Ensure all foreign currencies received are separated for periodic banking (every 10 days). Summary of receipt and banking of foreign currency should be maintained
Segregating Post Dated Cheques (PDC), storing in the safe, update in spreadsheet and release on specific due dates
Ensure cash is packed in the collection bag and stored in the safe for collection
Daily banking of cash and cheques including scanning of all cheques and follow-up on return cheques
Liaising with the bank and arranging required denominations for daily operation a outlets
Forward Banking Documents to Income Auditor
Prepare daily banking summary with supporting documents and forward to Income Audit Supervisor/Financial Controller’s review.
Verification of physical receipts from concept with SAP application reports and report any missing receipts.
Provide receipts and cheques copy to the Accounts Receivable accountant on a daily basis
Redeeming vouchers in voucher application on daily basis.
Perform Surprise Cash Count/Spot Checks at all outlets
Update daily complimentary voucher transactions summary
Relieve Income Auditor once a week and handle Income Auditor duties.
Daily Cash Account reconciliation with SAP G/L
Complimentary Voucher Summary - Month End
Voucher Redemption Summary - Month End
Ensure proper stock of Bank Deposit Slips, blank vouchers (stationery) and Credit Card rolls are maintained with the Income Auditor for outlet's use.
Ensure payment of petty cash is made after the approval by the Income Audit Supervisor/Financial Controller
Prepare summary for disbursement of petty cash and claim the same by cash cheque
Any other additional tasks as assigned by the Accountant/Financial Controller

Job specifications:

Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
Excellent knowledge of accounting packages, MS Office, Excel and report writing.
Strong accounting skills.
Must have knowledge about basic accruals/ petty cash etc..
Fluent in both written and spoken English
