Junior Accountant Required in Dubai

Essential Job Functions

· Prepare and record assigned journal entries in a timely and accurate fashion

· Assist in ensuring adherence to internal control and compliance procedures

· Record and reconcile all assigned company transactions

· Participate in the publishing of month-end information and monthly closing of financial records

· Assist in Preparing and coordinating annual audits

· Work to identify and fix financial discrepancies, assess the company’s monthly cash flow, analyze payroll reports, and examine budget vs. forecast variances to prepare monthly financial reports that assist senior management in making informed business decisions

· Assist in the preparation of the company balance sheet, income statements, and other financial documentation for submission to senior management and other stakeholders

· Participate in other relevant accounting projects

· Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the management

Key Abilities

· Strong analytical acumen for managing large quantities of data with accuracy

· Superb understanding of accounting and financial best practices and principles

· Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

· Effective organizational and time management skills

· Proficiency in navigating ERP systems

· Strong emphasis and ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of integrity

· Strong prioritization skills and proactivity in delivering results

· Highly numerate individual

Professional Experience

· Minimum of three (2) years of experience in accounting

· Minimum five (2) years of experience in the UAE market

Education & Certifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Other Requirements

· Fluency (both oral and written) in English

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle) or other financial systems (e.g., IBM Cognos Controller)

· Working knowledge of accounting regulations and practices

· Some experience in consolidated reporting, risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
