The Infrastructure Team Lead’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, Backup strategies, and telecommunications systems. The Infrastructure Team Lead will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

OPERATIONAL

Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems (1000+ Workstations & 100+Servers), including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, cloud, backup & DR strategies, and so on.
Liaise with third-party companies and vendors to resolve complex issues that require escalation.

Conduct market research to outline new system solutions to improve current and future business capability.
Provide support, advice, and training to system users.
Document systems and workflows in a user-friendly way.
Partner with all departments within the business, ensuring our IT systems fit their needs.
Create company best practices for IT systems in terms of Onboarding and offboarding employees, IT security, disaster recovery, email, and anti-virus policies
Ensuring our staff has the right level of access.
Help in the definition and review of SLA.
Basic scripting ability with PowerShell & Shell/BASH is desirable
Administration of VMware, Azure Stack, OpenStack, or other virtualization Stack
Good knowledge of Office 365.
Deliver IT systems solutions that provide a competitive advantage to support the growth of the business.
Manage cloud and web application hosting, including portals and SharePoint.
Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
Test network performance, provide statistics and reports, develop strategies for maintaining the network infrastructure.
Test server performance, provide network performance statistics and reports, develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
Database server administration knowledge and experience.
Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards supporting all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
Establish service level agreements with business units.
Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians and conduct performance reviews and corrective action where necessary.

Requirements

Educational Skills.

- Certifications in Microsoft Certified Professional.

- Certifications in Microsoft Certified System Engineer.

- Certifications in Cisco Certified Network Associate is a plus

- Redhat Certified Professional

- ITIL, Cloud, Security is added advantage
